GIRLS’ SOCCER SPORT SHORTS, 2011-12–

Be sure to visit the 2011-12 girls’ soccer schedule, home page, or check out Maxpreps.com. FC is currently 0-0 in the West Sequoia League and 2-5 overall as of Dec. 6. The Eagles will next travel to Mendota, Dec. 14.

GIRLS’ SOCCER, 2011-12

Mustangs defeat Eagles, 2-0–Dec. 6
After playing the Minarets Mustangs in the Fowler Lions Tournament Dec. 3, the Eagles traveled to Minarets High School to face the Mustangs once again, Dec 6.

Though FC hoped to improve their efforts against the Mustangs, they were unable to work offensively and therefore drew back to playing defense for most of the game.

Due to holding their defense throughout the first half of the game, the Eagles went into the second half worn out, allowing the Mustangs to score the first goal of the game.

The Mustangs were able to put another goal in after a hand ball was called against the Eagles, which resulted in the Minarets 2-0 win.

The Eagles will next play in Mendota against Mendota High School on Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.
