To start off the second day of touring New York City (NYC), The Feather staff journeyed off to explore what was left to see of the Big City.
To start off the day, the staff went to eat at Blue Fin, a seafood restaurant in Times Square, for breakfast. While eating, the staff planned out the rest of their day, discussing the different attractions they wanted to visit.
To continue their ventures they travelled the subways to get to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in the upper East side of NYC. The staff examined the different art pieces for two hours while also working up an appetite. While they planned to walk Central Park they decided to find somewhere to eat instead.
So the staff sojourned to SoHo where they planned to eat lunch and do a little shopping. They had their lunch meal at Subway, then walked the streets to browse the stores of Soho.
After shopping for a couple hours the staff went back to their hotel to get ready for their Broadway show, The Newsies. Following the performance the staff went out with journalism adviser Greg Stobbe to have a late dinner. Wanting some world famous cheesecake they ventured to Stage Deli, only to find the restaurant had relocated. With a change of plans the staff went to Lindy’s where they found a hot meal and some cheesecake.
The staff then went back to the hotel to get some rest, for the following days events, where they will attend lectures at the 89th annual Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) Spring Convention at Columbia University.
