The senior class of 2014 is nearing the finish line of their high school careers and strives to become united as a class. The annual Senior Retreat, slated for Sept. 21-22, offers an opportunities for bonding and allows students to genuinely get to know their classmates. Because the senior retreat is only 24 hours long, the senior class looked for other ways to connect with their peers.
Taking this into account, seniors Hannah Avila and Annalise Rosik, as well as other people in the senior class, have decided to have a pre-senior trip movie night to unify the senior class. The event will be held at Avila’s house Friday night, Sept. 6. The entire senior class is expected to attend, bringing along $5 to help pay for food. The event has been promoted at school, though not affiliated with the school, and advertised via social media.
The class this year consists of around 50 students and gets along quiet well according to Rosik. Rosik plays soccer at FC and is very active on campus. Rosik expects to make memories throughout this year with her classmates.
“I want to make some memories with people that I’ve gone to school with for so long,” Rosik said. “It’s a good way bond with the same people I’ve gone to school with since Kindergarden.
Avila hopes that the night is a fun way for the seniors to spend their Friday night.
“We want the night to have a chill feel,” Avila said. “Just to relax and hang out together. People will arrive at 7 p.m., and we will eat and relax until it is dark enough to be able to see the movie outside.”
The movie that will be shown is the Amazing Spider Man, and will be shown outdoors on an inflatable projection screen.
The senior class of 2014 is almost to the end of their careers here at FC, but the relationships that they build here will last much longer than their time on campus. For more information, talk to Hannah Avila or Analise Rosik on campus.

McKay, you did an awesome job presenting your side on Mitt Romney. It was a great assembly overall; getting to hear from both sides was very informative, and was fun to watch. It takes a lot of gut to get up in front of the whole high school and talk about politics, but you did a fantastic job, so props to you.
