To celebrate her best friend’s 17th birthday, senior Sarah Lim attributes this article and video to Hannah Avila, ’14, on her special day.

I have known Hannah Avila since the sixth grade and throughout the years I have enjoyed watching her grow into an amazing person. I am so thankful for our friendship, and she is someone who is like a sister to me.

Hannah is the type of person to light up a room with her smile. She is definitely a positive person with a bubbly personality. If I could define her with one word, it would definitely be unique, in a good way.

Hannah has influenced my life tremendously, and she always encourages me to become a better person. I honestly could not imagine my life without a friend like her.

I do not always tell her how much I appreciate her, so I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to show her how loved she is by her peers. Hannah is one of the most loving people I know so she deserves to have the best day on her birthday.

Happy birthday, Handy Mandy! I love you so much, friend!
