This is the 32nd episode of “FC Underground, 2014-15,” covering the week of March 9-13, 2015. Senior Callista Fries is a third-year host and broadcasts the video news alone normally. FC Underground is a weekly segment hosted by Fries, filmed and produced by junior videographer Tim Nyberg.

Congratulations to our choirs and band! HS Choir won the silver award and HS Jazz Band and ladies ensemble won the gold award. Ladies ensemble was also given an invitation to the Heritage Festival at Carnegie Hall during the 2016 festival season. We were also given the Sweepstakes Award for having a high scoring group represented in each category. Senior Andrew Guthrie was nominated by Susan Ainley and Lesley Bannister for the “When You Wish” award for outstanding music performance and contribution to the school community. He also was awarded the Maestro award along with Ivette Ibarra for their solos during the performance.
The Career Fair is on Wed. March 11, starting at 12:30 p.m.
The 32nd Annual FC Auction is this Sat. March 14, starting at 5:30 p.m., tickets for the event are $50.
Economics Fair is March 18, at lunch in the FC gym.
The annual Night Of The Stars is on March 28, tickets are being sold at lunch and in the office for $60.

“FC Underground” first ran in the fall of 1997 and continued until the spring of 2001. In the fall of 2009, editor-in-chief Suzanna Quiring , ’10, resumed the series, which was then produced by Paige Powell, ’10. After Quiring and Powell graduated, Brooke Stobbe and David Casuga took up the job until the end the 2011-’12 school year. Now, Fries and usually junior Tim Nyberg continue the segments.
