Sophomore setter Cassidy Hutchins takes over for fellow classmate Ashlyn White, who recently suffered an ankle injury. Hutchins, a newbie onto the team this year, adds a little spark with her frequent diving.

Jessica Schlink, new assistant varsity coach, insists upon the use of diving when necessary. According to Schlink, a dive is a follow-through for a pass.

“Freshman year we did a lot of diving suicides for JV,” Hutchins said. “At first it was a chore, but now I enjoy hitting the floor whenever I have the chance.”
