At the girls basketball game, March 3, the competition cheer squad preformed a modified version of their competition routine which they show-cased at the FCC West Coast Championships at Azusa Pacific, Feb. 28.
Due to an injury on the squad, coach Katie Mendenhall, not pictured, changed the routine in order for the girls to compete. Because the injury occurred so close to the competition, the team was required to learn the new routine in a short four days. While the girls’ stunts were not as strong due to the missing group, their synchronized jumps, excelled throughout the performance.
The team’s original magic-theme routine earned them a spot at the United Spirit Association (USA) nationals which will be held in Anaheim, CA, March 26-29.
