Sadies, Somewhere in Time is at Great America, is Sept. 26. Students will meet near the globe at the Peoples Church parking lot at 6:45 a.m. The theme (Somewhere in Time) allows dates to dress as any decade of their choosing.
When the adventure at Great America comes to an end, students will arrive back home at about 9:30 p.m. Rides home must be in the Peoples Church parking lot at that time.
Champions for Tomorrow will be coming to school and performing in the FC gym, Sept. 29. That day, there will be a special schedule and Hume Lake will be serving the student body lunch.
Student leadership is helping rearrange some classrooms while Building 6 continues renovation in some classrooms. Through Sept. 24-25, some classes will have special rooms while being remodeled. For more information on renovations and special rooms, contact the high school office.
High school volleyball has a home game against Avenal high school, Sept. 24. Come join the student body in the FC gym to cheer on the lady Eagles.
The next home football game is Sept. 25 against Mojave High School. Due to Sadies being the next day, there will be no fifth quarter following the game.
The annual varsity Cheer Clinic is next week, Sept. 28- Oct. 1, on the north field from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is for grades K-6 with the varsity cheer team and will be able to perform on Oct. 2 at the home football game and at the half time show.
Each girl will receive a cheer t-shirt, a cheer dance and learn some football cheers. Registration fee is $40 and $10 for additional child in same family. The registration form is due no later than Sept. 25, for more information email Hope Villines. Registration forms can be picked up in the high school office.
Grandparents Day is Oct. 23, grandparents are invited to come to school with their kid and experience the FC environment.
Homecoming is two weeks away, Oct. 13-16, and the leadership class is pulling together every last detail. The class is brainstorming dress-up days, pageant ideas and new activities.
All homecoming candidates must meet on Oct. 1 to take the group pictures with Kori Friesen in the prayer garden.
The homecoming theme is Vacation Destination; each class float is a popular place to visit from all over the world. All blueprints for floats are due Sept. 25 to Vickey Belmont. Also, each class must have an adult at every meeting, give contact information with the blueprints.
