WEEKLY CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR OCT. 13 – OCT. 16

The Feather continues its weekly FC campus announcements published the first day of each week with Oct. 13 – Oct. 16, 2015 as this week’s campus news.
Campus administration is looking for an elementary girls volleyball coach. If interested, contact Jon Penberthy or at the school, 559-299-1695, ext 108.
As the sports schedule gets underway, consider supporting JH and HS athletes at our home games. The week’s athletic events are listed in the weekly announcements below.
Sports Events the Week of 10/13 – 10/16
Tuesday
HS volleyball at Caruthers, 5:30 p.m.
HS girls tennis vs Firebaugh at 4 p.m.
Thursday
HS volleyball at Parlier, 5:30 p.m.
Friday
HS football vs Faith Christian Academy, 7 p.m. This will be FC’s homecoming game!
Saturday
HS girls tennis has a WSL tournament at Sierra Sport, 8 a.m.
JH Second Quarter Sports
Junior high boys basketball, girls soccer and boys soccer will begin sign ups Friday October 2nd. Sign up sheets will be upstairs in building 6 in front of Mrs. Belmont’s office.
Service in October
The high school leadership class is participating in Socktober this month. Students are encouraged to bring NEW pairs of socks in a closed bag to Vickey Belmont’s office upstairs with their name on the bag. The class that brings the most socks will win a prize that is to be announced!
Homecoming 2015
Greetings from FCS…Homecoming From Around The World! Please come and enjoy the festivities with us and celebrate homecoming. Come visit the different floats which include Italy, France, Canada and finish up with Hawaii. Visit with old friends, see some new faces and watch the crowning of this year’s homecoming court. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 16. We look forward to seeing you there!

Homecoming festivities for the week
Dress up days for the week of homecoming are as followed: Tourist Tuesday, World Sports Wednesday and Jetlag Thursday. There will be lunch activities for the princess candidates during lunch throughout the week. The “Royal Battle” for the king and queen candidates will be held on Thursday. A homecoming rally will be held Friday and the winning class gets points towards their float.
Keys Found
A set of keys was found near the football field, Sept. 25. Please see the high school office if they belong to you or someone you know. You can call (559)299-1695 ext. 125
HS Football Ticket Prices
The high school football ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and current FC students are free. All other elementary, junior high and high school students who are not attending FC are $2. Only game workers and those specifically listed on the free entry list may enter the game without paying admission.
HS Volleyball Ticket Prices
High school volleyball ticket prices are $4 for adults, $2 for seniors and all current FC students are free. All other elementary, junior high and high school students who are not attending FC are $2.
HS Softball Signups
If you plan to play high school softball this year please signup in front of Mrs. Belmont’s office.
HS Soccer Signups
Boys and girls high school soccer signup sheets are in front of Mrs. Belmont’s office. Please add your name to the list if you want to play this season.

HS Fall Sport Pictures
High school fall season sport pictures will be Thursday Oct. 8th in the FC Gym. Please see your coach for your order form.
Choral Department
The FC choir will have its fall concert in the SMC (formerly Ground Zero), Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. The elementary choir, JH choir, HS choir and the HS Ladies Ensemble will each be performing their own songs along with two combined numbers at the beginning and end of the concert.
New lunch ordering option
We have a new and better school lunch ordering timeline! Place your orders by Thursday evening for the following week. Just that simple! Of course, you may order for the whole month if you wish, but the hard deadline for each week is the Thursday prior. To get to this site, go to the Fresno Christian home page, click Parents and Students and then Hot Lunch. This will take you to the external site of Moving Feast.
ESL help for International Students
Mrs. Hill will be available in the library on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3-4 for ESL support for our international students.
PSAT offered
The PSAT test will be offered on Oct. 14 at 8:00 a.m. in the FC gym. This test is mandatory for ALL juniors and highly recommended for sophomores. The test is free of charge for FC students. Junior students are automatically signed up, however sophomore students must sign up with Mrs. Belmont in the high school office by Sept. 23.
