The Fresno Area Journalism Teachers Association grants six Feather staff members individual awards for their participation and contribution to each aspect of the online paper, March 21.

Senior Editor-in-Chief Austin Ward won 2nd place for News Writing while fellow senior and Photo Editor Hannah Joseph won 2nd place for Photo Journalism. Junior Mary Hierholzer earned 2nd place for Review Writing and junior Nick Avery earned 2nd place for Feature Writing. In addition, sophomore Maddie Yee won 2nd place for Sports Writing.

Finally, sophomore Katie Barisic earned the 1st place trophy for the cartoon category of the competition.

In total, five schools participated in the event, sponsored by The Fresno Bee.
