With junior Austin Rurik on third base and senior Tyler Haritzalde on first, junior Trevor York swings at the pitcher’s fastball and hits a line-drive between shortstop and third base, bringing Rurik and Haritzalde home, April 2.
Before York was up to bat, the Eagles were behind by one run against the Sierra Chieftains; however, York’s hit contributed to the Eagles’ 9-8 win, giving the team a reason for celebration on the field.
The Eagles’ next game is on the road, April 6 at Riverdale. FC will then host Tranquillity, April 8.
