Anthony Diaz, ’19, and Harjot Chhina, ’19, play stage pictures by acting out a scene from Romeo and Juliet, March 18.
English and drama teacher Kyle Dodson challenged his class to recreate the fight between characters Tybalt, Romeo, and Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet, but with a twist. Each group could act out the scene using only four poses.
The point of playing the game was to challenge the students to be the character. Dodson shares that he also wanted his students to see different perspectives on how the scene can be portrayed.
“The point of this game was to get the students comfortable with being a different character,” said Dodson. “I wanted to show them that there is more than one way to stage the scene.”
