In 1903 Crayola produced the first box crayons containing only eight colors. Now 113 years later there are 120 different colors of crayons including colors named Vivid Tangerine, Mountain Meadow, and Cotton Candy.
Crayola was founded by Joseph Binney and C. Harold Smith. In 1964 Crayola expanded and started producing watercolors, and oil paints. Later they would also start producing markers. These products are used by all ages around the world.
