Star Wars fans across the globe remember Erik Bauersfeld, the voice of Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as he passed away at the age of 93, April 3.
Most may not be as familiar with this character except for the iconic line, “It’s a trap!” during the Death Star fleet attack. This was his only line in the whole movie and yet it is one of the most memorable lines today. Not only did he voice Ackbar, but also Jabba the Hutt in the same film.
May he rest in peace and the force be with him.
