On every half day this year, FC staff meet together to discuss the school’s 2012 accreditation, including during their last meeting, March 21. Superintendent Debbie Siebert, middle rear, leads the campus staff in a congratulations for completing the accreditation process.
The staff will continue to meet to discuss school issues as individual teachers prepare for the accreditation visit. But the overall preparation is complete as administration has already sent a letter and accreditation document to those who will review and accredit the FCS, including the Association of Christian Schools International(ACSI).
From early September to this meeting, staff members were divided into committees in order to self-evaluate the school’s safety, academic and other standards held by ACSI and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Since the first accreditation in the early 1980s, campus schools have been given full accreditation of six years from both organizations each time a new team comes to evaluate.
A team of six individuals representing ACSI and WASC will be in Fresno to check out and evaluate Fresno Christian Schools beginning April 15.
