Olivia Tandadjaja, ’16, and Eun-sol Kwon, ’17, grab their favorite desserts from Cupcakes Bakery during the International Club off campus lunch, April 22.
Taking three AP classes in her senior year and joining FC choir, Tandadjaja is also the president of the International Club.
Tandadjaja’s passion of helping international students adjust to a new environment allows her to pursue high academic achievements, as well as serving others.
“I think just learning about culture is my favorite aspect of the club,” Tandadjaja said, “and knowing people from other cultures.”
Tandadjaja also gives encouragement to international students.
“Study hard, and don’t be discouraged because you don’t understand the language,” Tandadjaja said. “Try to make friends and stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone.”
International Club member, Kown, talks about her favorite part of the club.
“My favorite part of the club is that we are able to go off campus, have lunch together, and hang out together.”
