News Engagement Day, a national news awareness event founded by The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2014. The purpose of the day is to encourage everyone to engage in the news. Participating in the news is as simple as posting on social media or commenting on a news article. No matter how you engage remember that  as an American citizen, we have the freedom of speech; let your voice be heard.
