In honor of a child who died, the Christmas Tree Lane (CTL) tradition began in 1920 with the decoration of one tree. The observance has continued each year, except during 1941 and 1973 when it was stopped due to war restrictions and an energy crisis.
Tomorrow, CTL will have their last walking day (no vehicles allowed), where the community is able to walk around and see the millions of lights will come to life at 6 p.m.
