Captain Jenna Bynum, ’18, shares her excitement for the new season.
“I’m most excited for the Garces tournament, bonding more as a team and growing closer to Christ with everyone,” Bynum said. “What I like most about being captain is being able to teach the other girls skills that they haven’t learned before.”
Two new coaches join the team this year, Mackenzie Reynolds and Marguerite Belanger, both coaches play on the Fresno Pacific Sunbird Woman’s soccer team. Reynolds, a freshman on the team and Belanger, a senior.
Kayden Marquez, ’20, enjoys having new coaches she can look up to.
“Having new coaches is cool because it gives the players a better chance to learn different skills from older players,” Marquez said. “I look up to them because they play college ball and plan on playing professionally someday and that’s what I want to do.”
