Today is the last day of JH’s life science project, “sugar baby”, and no longer requires JH students to care for their bag of sugar, Feb. 9.
JH science teacher, Terry Richards assigned his 17th annual sugar baby project, Feb. 7, and today JH students completed their last day. Over three days, students were required to care for their bag of sugar as if it were a baby to demonstrate what being a parent is like.
Emily Penberthy, ’22, did not expect caring for her sugar baby was going to be as difficult as it was.
“It was fun but hard because sometimes you would forget things,” Penberthy said. “However, it was still fun having to care for something and have responsibility.”
Baby court will be taking place Tuesday, Feb. 14 and Thursday, Feb. 16. Seniors Hannah Nale and Trevor Trevino are the judges for baby court.
