FC’s 2016-17 yearbook team celebrates the year book department’s accomplishment, April 20.

The campus yearbook, The Shield, receives recognition in the 2017 Jostens Look Book. The recognition was rewarded to the team because of the 2015-16 yearbooks’ sports page layout. Last year’s team of six was advised by third year yearbook teacher, Andrea Donaghe. The Shield was rewarded for the 2016 copy of the yearbook.

Receiving a place in the 2017 Jostens Look Book is the first accomplishment of it’s kind earned by FC’s yearbook department. The Shield is one of 418 books chosen out of the approximately 3,000 books submitted.

The panel of judges consists of  award-winning yearbook advisers and nationally recognized scholastic journalism professionals. Fresno Christian’s submission was chosen as one of the best examples of yearbook spread covers to create Jostens Look Book of 2017.

Yearbook’s 2016-17 team consists of four juniors, Maicy Luginbill, Jenna Bynum, Joey Huang and Carlee Whipple. Donaghe continued to encourage her group of girls while they worked on completing this year’s book. You can see members of this group at events, capturing photos that will be used in spreads in the yearbook.

Jostens Look Book is a variety of covers and pictures from yearbooks chosen for their creative themes, unique designs and thorough coverage of the school.
