High school students wear ‘Star Wars‘ themed shirts on National Star Wars Day, May 4.
From the famous line “may the force be with you” from Star Wars, “may the fourth be with you” has been named for May 4.
All around campus ‘Star Wars’ enthusiasm is evident. Through the halls of high school, students display their passion with shirts and hair styles. Kyle Dodson, English teacher, and Robert Hyatt, director of technology, show their love for the films by wearing light saber ties.
First grade also partakes in the festivities with a craft honoring the movies. First grade teacher Michelle Blackburn‘s class creates light sabers out of pool noodles, decorating them with stickers.
‘A New Hope’ was the first movie in the series coming out on May 25, 1977. This was quickly followed by two sequels: ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’. George Lucas directed many of these famous films.
Color Guard and FC band are also involved with a ‘Star Wars’ themed performance.
