Following an eight game losing streak, the FC varsity baseball team comes back 6-2 against Orosi, May 17.
After a difficult season, the boys were discouraged by the outcome of their previous games.
Sophomore, Sam Cross, playing pitcher on the team for two years.
“We played a great game,” Cross said. “We kept fielding errors to a minimum and the team hit the ball well. If the baseball team keeps this up, we are going far in the playoffs.”
The team tries to focus on staying positive and coming out of each game with more knowledge and experience, learning for future games.
Jonah Lozano, ’19, playing baseball for nine years of his life enjoys being apart of this year’s team.
“Our team’s defense was outstanding,” Lozano said. “If we work on hitting a little more, we might have a good chance of going further in the playoffs.”
Their next game will be an away game against Lindsay High, May 19 at 4 p.m.
