Junior High teacher and founder of the Brother to Brother program, Terry Richards, passes out papers to high school boys to begin their older brother training session, Nov. 14.
Brother to Brother provides high schoolers the opportunity to mentor and befriend a junior high boy. One of the responsibilities of an older brother is to go to a monthly training. At these training sessions, Richards is caught up with the ups and downs of the relationships that brothers have. Older brothers receive tips and encouragement on how to make a personal connection with their junior higher. Richards also provides high schoolers with advice for their personal lives in friendships, dating, and for any topic they might have for him.
Older and younger brothers will meet next on Tuesday, Nov. 28. for an off-campus lunch. Boys get the opportunity to eat lunch together at any nearby restaurant within walking distance.
