Christmas is in full swing at Cindy Lane as families walk and drive down the streets full of bright lights and holiday cheer, Dec. 8.
After an estimated 15 hours spent putting up lights and displays, residents watch as visitors of all ages enjoy their decorations. With a wide variety of decorations, people of all ages enjoy the festive decorations filling each home.
Sophomore Dani Foster, Cindy Lane resident, enjoys watching little children gaze in wonder at her family’s gift-shaped fountain display.
“The best part about living in Cindy Lane is getting to watch all the kids walk by and watching their reactions,” Foster said. “This year our decorations are water fountains and it’s really cool to go outside and see a crowd watching them all. My best memory is getting to paint everything, and then getting to go to dinner with my family after.”
Thousands of visitors travel through Cindy Lane each night, some driving and some walking.
Joshua Savage, ’19, has visited Cindy Lane since he was a child. He enjoys all the memories made as he and his family traveled down Cindy Lane, admiring the decorations and bright lights.
“The many lights down the streets, families atmosphere and the beautiful houses are a great way to celebrate Christmas,” Savage said. “When I was little we got hot chocolate and drove down Cindy Lane and that is a warm memory I will forever cherish.”
There are many popular Christmas-themed lanes in town, such as Christmas Tree Lane and Santa Claus Lane. To learn a little bit about the history of each of these lanes, check out this week’s FC Underground.
