Serena Zhao, ‘20, teaches Kimberly Bell’s sixth period home economics class the proper way to tie a scarf, Jan. 23.

For the classes current unit, students take turns teaching lessons to their classmates. They choose a topic which they have a passion for or are talented with. With a variety of students sharing, the class learns an assortment of life skills. In this lesson, Zhao uses her talent in tying scarfs to teach her classmates a skill she knows.

Some students taught lessons including how to: cook mac and cheese, make a paper airplane, put chains on a car, and bake a cake mug.

The classes will continue to learn these skills for the next few weeks, stay tuned for more on their projects.
