The FCJH cheer team takes second place in their division at the Clovis Pep Classic, also crowned Grand Champions of outlying areas (non-Clovis schools), Jan. 27.

Carlee Zamarripa, ’22, two year FCJH cheer member and a captain on the team holds the positions as main and side base in the routine.

“I was pretty nervous because I felt like we weren’t as prepared as we should have been,” Zamarripa said. “But I’m really happy with the results. We went out there and hit our stunts and came out as Grand Champions.”

The girls will also compete in the Clovis West showcase Feb. 10.
