Spanish III student Ashley Zamarripa, ’19, presents her invention project during third period, Feb. 26. While students are presenting, the rest of the class grades their presentation.
Every unit, Spanish classes are tasked to create a project based on what they are currently learning.
Zamarripa invents a solar powered cellphone charger.
“I wanted to invent a product that would be helpful and useful to many people,” Zamarripa said. “I use a portable cellphone charger all the time and so having a solar powered one would be very convenient. It was fun doing this project because it allowed everyone to be very creative.”
Some projects include a hairbrush that shampoos hair, a plate that heats food and a bin that sorts recyclables from trash. Students are required to discuss how they will go about marketing their product and also they benefits it would provide.

Great job with this post! I like seeing what other classes do during the day.
