Kids Day 2018

Kids+Day+2018
[/media-credit] Fresno Christian students sell the annual special edition Kids Day paper for $1, March 6.

The 31st annual edition of the Kids Day newspapers are sold by FC leadership and Feather students, March 6. FC students claimed the corners of Alluvial/Maple and Alluvial/Cedar starting at 4:30 a.m.

All throughout the San Joaquin Valley, thousands of volunteers stand on street corners selling papers at a suggested price of $1, with a goal of raising $650,000 for Valley Children’s Hospital as opposed to last years $630,000. Over the past 30 years, Kids Day has raised over $8.6 million. The not-for-profit hospital covers patients in 11 countries and more than 45,000 square miles.

In 1988, The Bee and ABC 30 joined together for the first annual Kids Day, raising $56,000. Each year, the special edition paper highlights people and programs that make Valley Children’s Hospital unique.

This year FC students raised more than $2500.

If you don’t happen to see a volunteer, you can text GEORGE to 80077 to make a $10 donation through Tuesday or go to www.valleychildrens.org/donate.
