Feather takes NYC: day 2

Feather students, advisors and and chaperones take on another day at NYC, March 12.

The first thing on the agenda was a ride on Circle Line ferry on the Hudson and East River. Many sights and landmarks could be seen from the boat including Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Empire State Building.

With wind speeds rising and temperature dropping, everyone bundled up for the expedition.

Since last year’s Feather NY trip was during a blizzard, sight-seeing on the Hudson and East River was cancelled.

Next stop, they arrive at Chelsea’s Market for food and recreation. Students split up to find their favorite eating place and shop through stores.

With a plenty to look forward to, they arrive at the Flatiron Building to take pictures together and relax.

The sun began to sink and the group walk towards Rockefeller Center. On the way their, they saw Macy’s, Empire State Building and The Tonight Show. At rockefeller building Feather staffers take the elevator to the very top, reaching the 70th floor.

To end the night, the city skyline was seen for miles. Unfortunaley the sunset was not visiblue due to a storm approaching.
