The class of 2019 embark on their first senior trip together on the annual senior retreat at Hume Lake Christian Camps, Sept. 23-24.
Out of 43 students in the class, 37 attend the retreat. The trip is meant for students to connect with fellow classmates for their final year together.
In groups of five, seniors come up with a team name, cheer and symbol. Senior advisors Kori Friesen, Robert Hyatt, Robert Foshee and Kimberly Bell divide students into seperate groups to connect students together.
Each team racks up points through winning games and challenges. A variety of games and activities create an enviroment of fellowship with one another. Extreme dodgeball, high ropes course, chapels, roller skating, skit night and a time around a campfire help bond seniors closer.
FC tech director Hyatt was the speaker for both chapels addressing issues of identity, anxiety and depression.
At the end of the year, seniors will also partake in the annual senior trip along with grad-night together.
If you are a senior, comment down below your favorite memory of the trip!
