Screaming children will race around from stand to stand and the smiles on their faces will bring smiles to those running the booths. The student leadership team is set to host the Kids Karnival back during the first home football game on Sept. 8.
During the JV and varsity football games, the carnival adds an exciting option for kids elementary age and younger. This year old favorites such as: face painting, football toss, and a bounce house will return for the enjoyment of the participants.
?As a student leadership member, I wanted to make sure we had the carnival again,? Jeremy Ramos, ?07, said. ?I look forward in providing a warm friendly atmosphere for the kids during the football game.?
Tickets cost .25 and each game requires at least one to play.
?I will be running the ticket booth this year,? Abby Schoettler, ?09, said. ?Even though each grade runs their own booth and I could be helping the sophomores, I volunteered to sell tickets.?
For students interested in helping out at the carnival, community service credit will be given.
?I have volunteered to help even though I am not in leadership,? Justin Bridges, ?08, said. ?I need at least five hours of community service for my Bible class and this will take care of most of my time.?
Kids Karnival will begin at 5 P.M. at Clark Intermediate on Sept. 8 just as the JV team takes on the Strathmore Spartans.
