Kyle and the Technical Difficulties

The Fresno Christian tech team leads “Where You Are” by Hillsong Young and Free in chapel, Oct. 30. Ordinarily sitting at the back running slides or manning the soundboard, the tech team is pushed out of their normal routine.

Dubbed “Kyle and the Technical Difficulties,” the experimental team practices for weeks before their debut in this week’s Tuesday chapel.

Blake Deffenbacher, ’20, can usually be found running lights during worship chapel or filming videos to introduce new worship songs.  He enjoys this experience because it allows him to use his musical skills.

“It was a lot of fun to be able to play in chapel,” Deffenbacher said. “At my church, I lead worship in the youth services, so it was cool to get to do this same thing at school. I hope that I get to do this again sometime because I really enjoyed it!”

The following video includes Kyle Friesen, ’19, introducing the band and footage of rehearsal.
