Home economics teacher, Kimberly Bell, guides Reece Trevino, ’19, in making cinnamon rolls for this weeks life’s skills lab, Nov. 8. This class is available for JH and high school students, providing a place to learn a range of skills for life.
They learn how to make cinnamon rolls from scratch. Each student made a total of six cinnamon rolls to take home or share with their friends.
Through the year Bell splits up differeent sections to teach her students throughout the year. They have a cooking, sewing and car repair section, along with many other topics.
Next, the class will travel to coach Mic Fuller’s house to see the how to process chickens at his chicken farm. This will continue their unit of farm to table.
This is Bell’s third year teaching home ec.
