Old Town Clovis hosts its annual Enchanted Evening, Nov. 15. From 5-8 p.m., hundreds of families have refreshments and holiday activities through out the night.
One Enchanted Evening is held yearly on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. This is one of the most anticipated events Old Town has to offer, thousands of people participate in it. Pollasky Avenue was dazzled with twinkling lights and Christmas trees. Refreshments such as hot cocoa and cookies were provided by Bank of the Sierras and other locally owned stores. Other attractions included in the event were horse drawn carriage rides and vintage cars lining the street for passersby to view.
Freshman Olivia Tucker, a first time attendee, shares why this event became special to her.
“This was my first year going to One Enchanted Evening,” Tucker said. “My mom suggested it to me and I was so excited to go becuase I love Christmas! One of my favorite parts was walking around and looking in the stores and at the lights. I will definitely be attending next year and in the years to come.”
Old Town Clovis will be holding its annual Children’s Electric Light Parade, Dec. 1.
