FCS staff gather after school for a surprise worship chapel, Dec. 6. Led by the student worship team, teachers participate in an after school worship session instead of an usual Thursday meeting.
This chapel was an opportunity for students to give back to the FC faculty and staff. Some of the songs sang include ‘King of my Heart’ by Bethel and ‘Reckless Love’ by Cory Asbury. In between the sets of songs, there was a time for staff to partake in communion.
Principal Amy Deffenbacher shares her hopes in having a staff chapel.
“Our goals was to take a break from our usual meetings, business and activity and worship together,” Deffenbacher said. “This time of year is so busy and full of school and life stuff, it was a welcomed break and time of connection. So many were able to just rest and be reminded of God’s love in the midst of fulfilling the calling He has placed on our lives to serve in this place. many were able to pray with and for each other. We also left refreshed to finish these next few weeks strong.”
