Fresno Christian hosts a stuffed animal drive for patients at Valley Children’s Healthcare, Dec. 14.
This is the sixth year FC has collected stuffed animals for Valley Children’s Healthcare. Students receive a free lunch from Chick-Fil-A when a stuffed animal is donated. To celebrate the end of the semester and the upcoming holidays, students wear pajamas and gather in the Student Ministry Center (SMC) to watch the movie “Elf”.
Last year three trash bags were filled with stuffed animals to be donated. This year the goal is every high school student to donate a stuffed animal.
Leadership co-advisor, Aubri Foster, coordinates the drive along with Robert Foshee.
Foshee shares the reason for the continue this tradition.
“I continue this stuffed animal drive because every year we realize that is is a need. Each child that comes into the hospital around Christmas time will receive a stuffed animal. It continues to show God’s love to all the children in need. ”
