As the class of 2019 looks forward to graduation, The Feather spotlights seniors in an effort to know them better. This series will focus on their time at Fresno Christian and their aspirations moving forward. This is the 2019 senior spotlight of Ashley Winchell.
How many years have you attended FCS?
Four.
Where/how many colleges have you applied to for next year? Which is your top pick?
I have applied to one college and plan on staying in California to attend Clovis Community.
What do you plan on majoring in?
Graphic Design Animation, or Creative Writing.
A favorite memory of high school?
Writing stories and watching Inside Out in Christian Living.
Who has been an influential “favorite” teacher in your eyes and how?
Kimberly Bell because she is caring about everyone here and takes interest in your likes.
What activities have you been involved in over the past 4 years?
I was involved in video productions, archery club and creative writing club.
Is there anything you wished you would have done differently?
No, I don’t wish for anything to be done differently.
If you could give the lower classmen advice for surviving high school, what would it be?
Don’t worry about what people will think about you. In the end, you might not see them again.
Post graduation, what do you look forward to in your future? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I am looking forward to going to college and chasing my dream career. I see myself as a writer, novelist, animator and maybe YouTuber in ten years.
A fun fact about Winchell is that she dislikes ice cream.
