As the class of 2019 looks forward to graduation, The Feather spotlights seniors in an effort to know them better. This series will focus on their time at Fresno Christian and their aspirations moving forward. This is the 2019 senior spotlight of Suky Cheema.
How many years have you attended FCS?
My first year of FC was eighth grade so I have attended here for five years.
Where/how many colleges have you applied to for next year? Which is your top pick?
I have applied to seven different colleges but my top pick is Cal Poly.
What do you plan on majoring in?
I plan to major in Kinesiology to become a physical therapist.
Are you planning on going out of state or staying in CA?
Staying in California.
A favorite memory of high school?
My favorite memory was in basketball. Last year against Mineretes I hit the game tying three pointer buzzer beater in the last quarter.
Most embarrassing moment in high school?
The most embarrassing moment of my high school career was when I tore my ACL.
Who has been an influential “favorite” teacher in your eyes and how?
Mr. (Kyle) Dodson is my favorite teacher because I like the way he speaks to the class and if you have questions he will come to you one on one insted of infront of the class.
What activities have you been involved in over the past 4 years?
I have been a part of basketball for four years.
If you could give the lower classmen advice for surviving high school, what would it be?
Don’t try too hard, school isn’t that hard.
