Alumni, parents and Fresno Christian supporters gather for the 36th annual FCS Auction in the FC gym, March 9. The night consisted of a silent auction, live auction, raffles, and dinner, with the theme ‘Going Places.’
Along with the regular auction activities, this year the night featured a photo booth and The Killer Dueling Pianos. Attendees could request any song along with a donation, and the pianists would play and sing the request.
FC students played a large part in the event as well. High school leadership sold raffle tickets and escorted attendees to their seats throughout the night, while FC varsity baseball cleaned up at the end of the night.
This year the auction raised over $157,000, with all proceeds going directly to support FCS.
Superintendent Jeremy Brown appreciates the financial impact of the auction, but also welcomes the connections with alumni and supporters.
“Obviously there’s a fiscal benefit to the auction for Fresno Christian Schools, but really it’s about connections,” Brown said. “I know personally there’s three or four alumni that have already come in, going to the auction because they hear about the great things that students are doing.”
