High school students end the week before Easter break by finishing school projects and participate in powderpuff, April 12.
During break, families celebrate Palm Sunday, April 14, Good Friday, April 19, Passover, April, 20 and Easter Sunday, April 21. Easter is a holiday to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
Students occupy their break by going to places such as Disney World, looking at colleges, Carmel, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles. Many students who plan to stay local the next few days attend Breakaway, April 14-18. This event pushes teens to connect with their community through serving and ministering.
After spring break, the school year begins to wrap up with end of the year events. Things to mark on your calendar for the next two months is The Feather LA trip, April 23-28, baseball and softball senior night, May 2, Spring Choral Concert, May 6, spring sports awards, May 9 and senior trip, May 15-17.
With only 28 school days left once students come back from break, classes begin to prepare for upcoming finals and projects. Finals week will be held the last week of school. For seniors, finals will take place before they leave for senior trip.
Eighth-grade promotion takes place, May 21 and high school graduation, May 23.
