Seniors celebrate with wearing shirts from their college choice in honor of ‘National College Decision Day‘, May 1.
The day is meant to be the final deadline for senior to make a deposit for the college of their choice.
Next step for students to accomplish with their college is scheduling an orientation date. This will help plan out next years classes and what to expect.
Senior Kaylie Clem decides on her college choice near the deadline. Clem’s looking forward to her future school of Point Loma Nazarene University in the fall of 2019.
“After meeting the representatives from PLNU at the various college fairs I attended, I was really drawn to the school,” Clem said. “The opportunities, community and atmosphere I experienced while visiting, really appealed to my collegiate aspirations. I am most looking forward to making new friends and connections. I applied to a total of four colleges. The hardest part of deciding which one to attend was choosing a location I would be living in for the next four years. Point Loma ultimately was the best choice for me and I couldn’t be any more excited.”
A variety of colleges were selected in the senior class such as: Grand Canyon University, Fresno State University, Cal Baptist University, Westmont, Biola University and Masters University.
Seniors complete final test and projects, May 13-15 and leave for Senior Trip, May 15 and return, May 17.
Senior graduation will be held at Peoples Church auditorium at 7 p.m., May 23.
