Guys and girls winter sports including, soccer and basketball are underway as teams compete in the East Sierra League (ESL).
After the boy’s soccer head coach, Ramon del Campo, was signed to the Las Vegas Lights FC, Adam Smith has taken over as head coach. Boys soccer is playing in the East Sierra League (ESL) Division VI.
Girls soccer, led by coach Matthew Markarian, comes back strong after last year’s defeat in the valley championship game. With the majority of the team remaining from last year, ladies look to take the title this year of ESL Division V Valley Champs.
Boys basketball, led by coach Jon Penberthy, are undefeated this season in league so far and are looking to win league altogether. They are playing in the ESL Division V.
Robert Foshee leads girls basketball, is aiming to win league again this year. Lacking the leadership from any seniors, juniors Hannah Villines, Paige Provost, Brynlee Schmidt, and Hannah Van Noy take charge leading the team of nine. They also play in the ESL Division V.
On Friday, Jan. 24, all sports teams are home at Fresno Christain, make sure you come and support.

JV boys basketball: 4:30 p.m.
Boys soccer: 4:30 p.m.
Girls basketball: 6:00 p.m.
Girls soccer: 6:00 p.m.
Varsity boys basketball: 7:30 p.m.
