Recycling is the key to today?s environment, yet so few people take action. Michelle Rose’s April 26 article, “Earth Day advances recycling” got me thinking.

I like what Amy Huerta said in the article. ??Anyone can be involved to help the community.? As a community, we have a responsibility to protect our environment and do our part in keeping it clean.

The article also stated negative views on Earth Day, which I found interesting. One person said they didn?t think they could do anything to help the environment directly. I agree that by themselves they can?t do much. But if everyone helps out, it could make a difference.

I am proud to be a part of the recycling program at Peoples Church. It is good that they decided to take a stand and do what every other business and organization needs to do.
