Fresno Christian’s annual Operation Christmas Child boxes has officially begun, Oct. 20. Students from FC K-12 team up with
Samaritans Purse in gathering boxes for kids who are less fortunate and to spread God’s love. In 2021 there were over 600 boxes packaged!
Operation Christmas was founded in 1990 to help kids in need who have been affected by wars, natural disasters, diseases and poverty.
Samaritan’s Purse created and organized Operation Christmas Child. Since 1993, more than 178 million children have received boxes around the world.
Steps in packing OCC boxes:
Step 1: Get either a plastic or shoe box from Dollar Tree, Walmart or Target.
Step 2: Pick who you are packing for, boy or girl.
Step 3: Fill the box with gifts. Hygiene supplies, drawing supplies, toys can all be included. Candy and food is not permitted.
Step 4: Pray for the child receiving your box
Step 5: Label your box!
Drop your box off in high school or elementary office by Nov. 10.
