Amidst the many athletes who play football for the jock credibility or team comradeship, varsity captain Ryan Brunn, ’08, plays for love of the sport.
“I love the hitting,” he said.
This passion motivates Brunn to play for his school career.
?I love the adrenaline rush of hitting and just being on the field,? Brunn said. ?It?s a chance for me to release all the anger.?
Seven years ago, Brunn began watching professional cornerback Champ Bailey defend the Denver Bronco?s territory on Sportscenter; this inspired him to become the next “Champ.”
?I started watching football on television and found that I liked it,? Brunn said, ?so I tried out for the team to get involved myself.?
