Parents of seniors: It is not too late to place an ad in the yearbook. The deadline for senior baby ads has been extended until 3 p.m. on March 19. If any parent lost the ad form, one can be picked up in the high school office.
LIT MAG SUBMISSIONS
Students involved in the literary magazineare accepting any and all submissions. Anything from a movie critique to a scratchboard will be accepted. Submissions must be turned in to Mrs. Sargent or senior Jessa Searles before spring break (March 27-April 5).

After competing at Buchanan High School on March 13, the the campus Destination Imagination team, Catch Fraise, qualified for the State competition on April 10 in San Jose. FARMERSVILLE BASEBALL CLASSIC
Congratulations to the varsity baseball team for making an undefeated run through the Farmersville Tournament to take home the first place trophy for the third straight year.
In the 9 a.m. game vs. the home team Farmersville, junior Stowe Empereur gave up only 4 hits and the Eagles’ mercy ruled the host Aztecs in 5 innings, 12-2. Sophomore Austin Rurik went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and junior Justin Wilson drove in two Eagles with a double in the third inning.
In the championship game at 3 p.m., the Eagles took down Division IV powerhouse Exeter, 6-2. Starter Trevor York, ’12, earned the win, giving up only 2 hits in 4 innings of work and Ryan Neufeld, ’12, earned the save, throwing three innings of relief. Freshman Tanner Bos went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Wilson continued his hot hitting, going 2 for 3 with another 2B.
The 7-0 Eagles will next travel to Sierra High School on Wednesday at 4 p.m. to take on the Chieftains before hosting the Division III Yosemite Badgers at Chukchansi Park on March 19.

FEATHER NAMED PACEMAKER FINALIST
The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) announced on March 11 the finalists for its Online Pacemaker competition. For the 5th straight year, The Feather Online was recognized among 26 schools across North America for this distinction. The staff will attend a convention in Portland, OR, where the winners will be awarded in April.

BASKETBALL PLAYS ON IN STATE FINALS
Following a come-from-behind victory last night over Pasadena Poly, 53-49, the Lady Eagles will be traveling to Montclair Prep H.S. in Van Nuys on Thursday night to continue their quest for the CIF Southern California Regionals Division V title! Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Parents, friends and students are encouraged to attend and cheer on the team. The address of Montclair Prep is 8071 Sepulveda Blvd., Van Nuys, CA 91402.
A rooter bus is planned to take students, parents and friends to the Round 2 playoff game. The bus will leave campus by 2 p.m. and return by midnight.
Thanks to the generosity of a donor, there is no cost to ride the bus. The only cost is the entrance to the game. Admission prices are: Adults, $9; high school students with ID card, $5; and seniors (65+) or children under 12, $5. GIRLS’ BASKETBALL DIVISION V CHAMPIONS
After three years of close loses at Selland Arena, the varsity girls’ top-seeded basketball team was named California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Central Section Division V Valley Champions. They defeated No. 2 seed Central Valley Christian (Visalia), 49-40, at Selland Arena, March 5.
Although the first half ended with the team behind 15-11, a come-from-behind second half secured the victory. Senior Paige Maltos was named MVP directly after the game after scoring a game-high 19 points, and each player received a plaque. The campus closed early that day to encourage a larger student body presence at the game.

Please note that NO FOOD OR DRINKS are to be delivered to students in class. If food/drinks are delivered, the teachers are to have the student delivering the food bring the item(s) down to the high school office. The student delivering the food will receive discipline from the principal and the food/drinks will be kept to be picked up during the morning break, lunch or after school. This policy applies to Periods 1 through 8.
FC UNDERGROUND DEBUTS
While a daily audio/visual news program has been a part of the FC community in the past, The Feather Online debuts a new version of FC Underground as the spring semester kicks into gear. Be sure to check out the new Feather feature each week by clicking on the FC Underground icon on the right menu bar.
LITERARY MAGAZINE
The FCS literary magazine is now accepting submissions. Pick up a submission form from Mrs. Sargent today. Work from any artistic medium (e.g. photography, poetry, short story, essay, scratcboards, etc.) will be considered. For more information, contact senior Jessa Searles.
LOST AND FOUND
Three days into the new semester and the lost and found table is already full. There are about a dozen sweat jackets, a blanket, a backpack, girl’s knit sweaters and cap, and some textbooks and binders. If any student has misplaced anything, check the lost and found table in Building 6, across from the restrooms.
Also note that, this year, the lost and found table will be cleared on a weekly basis.
GYM REFINISHED
The FCS gym floor has been refinished. Please note that the gym doors to the foyer and into the gymnasium will now be locked, except for events taking place in the gym.
All music students are required to enter and exit the music suite from the door on the east side of the building, not through the foyer.
All P.E. and strength and conditioning students are to use the locker room doors and enter the locker rooms from the rear access doors. Students are ONLY to use the rear locker room doors when they are leaving and returning to Building 6; they are NOT to walk through the gym and leave by the front door.
This new procedure will be enforced immediately.

Lunch will be eaten in Rooms 602 and 604 instead of in the GZ Quad on days when it rains.
CSF TUTORING PROGRAM
CSF is sponsoring a free tutoring program for high school, junior high and elementary students. CSF members will be offering one free tutoring session per week during free time: lunch, after school or a study hall. Mat and English, of all levels, are available for tutoring. If interested, sign up in front of the high school office or contact CSF adviser Molly Sargent or Suzanna Quiring for more information.
GIRLS’ BIBLE STUDY
Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, Coach Jennifer Tatum will be facilitating a Bible study for the junior and senior girls during lunch in room 601. It’s going to be a very exciting time of growth in the Lord. Students should bring their lunches and come as quickly as possible.
DRESS CODE
Principal Bennet has initiated a new rule for dress code. Boys are not allowed to wear baseball hats in the building at all; they may wear them outside the building only.
GROUND ZERO ACCESS
Reminder: Fresno Christian students are not allowed in the Ground Zero building at any time without permission or for planned campus activities. Please especially note that the GZ cafe is not a shortcut to GZ main for Tuesday chapel. On Tuesday morning the GZ cafe is being used by another organization for their activity. Off limits applies also to the GZ bathroom facilities.
