Fresno Christian baseball holds their second clinic for community kids at The Well Church. About 350 children participated in the first clinic on March 8, while the next one saw a smaller turnout including approximately 100 kids on March 31.
The kids who attended learned throwing, hitting, base running and fielding skills by players. The clinic was free of charge and parents were welcome to watch or help.
Head baseball coach Aaron Penberthy started these camps with his team as an effort to give back to the community and get involved in local church athletic programs.
“It was great getting the guys out to our community and introducing our culture and the way we play baseball to our community. A great way to serve the community and our Lord,” Penberthy said.
The team will continue to put on the event when felt needed.
Junior Braden Belmont had a fun time serving and helping the youth improve their baseball skills.
“I had a great time teaching the littles baseball at the clinic and it was really cool to see the fun they were having and how much they look up to me as a high schooler,” Belmont said.
The baseball team helps build their future while putting confidence in these young kids.
