Although a frozen yogurt in winter does not appeal to me, I found myself craving the dessert once I stepped into Yogurtville.
The small restaurant is designed with a beach in mind, with beach balls, surfboards and other various summer staples set up around the room. The walls were painted to depict an ocean scene and reminded me of warm summertime.
Though my friend and I were newcomers to Yogurtville, the process of choosing a flavor and topping was easy and fun. With a build-your-own-yogurt area, Yogurtville offers customers a hands-on way to create their own flavors. With eight different flavors and a countless number of toppings, the combination possibilities seem endless.
Before deciding on a final combo, my friend and I sampled a few flavors. Out of flavors like raspberry, cookies and cream, peppermint, tazo and green tea, I opted for the most original flavor: Alpine vanilla. Like all the yogurts, the classic flavor was nonfat yet extremely sweet. My friend chose chocolate, another classic yogurt.
Yogurtville charges $.35 per ounce, allowing customers to choose their amount. Customers can get as many flavors as desired and add their favorite toppings, which includes a variety of nuts, candies and cookies.
Once we left it was time to face reality and enter our freezing weather again, but it was a breath of fresh air while.
