As technology continues to evolve, FC plans to use new resources to help families and patrons. Computer users will now be given the opportunity to make online payments or donations through a newly developed feature.
After the feature was requested by the school’s foundation board, the installation of the program began. After investigating options, administrators finally found an organization to install the feature at a small fee. It was set up by Vanco services, LLC. and powered by a secure processing engine, e.service.
On the new payment and donation Web site, users enter in either the amount of tuition or donation they wish to pay. Along with this, personal contact information is required. After entering in amounts of payment, the total will automatically be entered in at the bottom of page.
For the safety and security of the user, all information entered in is confidential and will not be shared with any other organization and is certified by PCI security standards council and security metrics
David Martens, who has been the technology director on campus for 12 years, was involved with choosing the service at the foundation board’s request, and appreciates the benefits of an online system.
“It’s an easier way for people to donate and to pay a fee to the school,” Martens said. “It was pretty simple because the company hosting it did all the work for us for the online payments.”
